Instructions for completing the process for requesting Financial Assistance

Please complete and submit this 2026-2027 Financial Assistance Application to LCU Financial Assistance.
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at https://studentaid.gov as soon after January 1st as possible if you are interested in grants, loans, and work study opportunities.
After you have completed the FAFSA, you will receive a FAFSA Submission Summary. Review the FAFSA Submission Summary to be sure it is correct. If it is correct, you may keep the summary for your records. If there are errors on the FAFSA Submission Summary, make corrections at https://studentaid.gov.
Provide any additional documents requested by the financial assistance office.
After all required documents have been received, a financial aid offer will be completed for you, listing scholarships and federal/state aid (grants, loans, work study) for which you qualify. Review the offer and accept/decline the aid through your LCU Student Portal.
Follow instructions on applying for loans if loans will be needed to help pay for your education.
